Voice Data: Audio recordings you voluntarily provide for voice training. These are processed by our TTS provider (Fish Audio) to create a personalized voice model.
Photos: Images of textbook pages you upload for OCR processing. These are processed by Google Gemini AI and are not stored permanently on our servers.
Lesson Data: Text content, pinyin, and audio files generated from your lessons.
Usage Data: Basic app usage analytics to improve our service.

3. How We Use Your Information

To provide and maintain our service (OCR, TTS, lesson management).
To create personalized voice models based on your recordings.
To process subscription payments through Apple In-App Purchases.
To communicate with you about your account or service updates.
To improve and optimize our app experience.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

Supabase: Authentication and data storage.
Google Gemini AI: OCR text recognition from photos.
Fish Audio: Text-to-speech voice synthesis and voice cloning.
RevenueCat: Subscription management.
Apple: In-App Purchase payment processing.

5. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely on Supabase servers. We use industry-standard encryption for data in transit (HTTPS/TLS). Voice recordings are transmitted securely to our TTS provider for processing. Photos uploaded for OCR are processed in real-time and not stored permanently.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Lesson data and voice models are retained until you delete them or your account. You can request account deletion at any time through the app or at mamaread.com/account.

7. Children’s Privacy

MamaRead is designed for parents to use with their children. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. The app is intended to be set up and managed by a parent or guardian.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

Access your personal data.
Correct inaccurate data.
Delete your account and all associated data.
Export your lesson data.
Opt out of non-essential communications.
