1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using MamaRead, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

2. Description of Service

MamaRead is an educational app that helps parents read textbooks and stories to their children using AI-powered text recognition and voice synthesis. The app provides OCR (optical character recognition), text-to-speech with customizable voices, pinyin annotation, and sentence-by-sentence playback.

3. Account Registration

You must register an account to use MamaRead. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities under your account. You must provide accurate and complete information during registration.

4. Subscriptions and Payments

MamaRead offers a free tier (limited lessons) and a Pro subscription.
Subscriptions are billed monthly through Apple In-App Purchases.
Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID account settings.
No refunds are provided for partial subscription periods.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use the service for any unlawful purpose.
Upload content that infringes intellectual property rights.
Attempt to reverse-engineer or interfere with the service.
Use voice cloning features to impersonate others without consent.
Share your account credentials with others.

6. Intellectual Property

The MamaRead app, including its design, features, and content, is owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. Lesson content you create using the app belongs to you. Voice models created from your recordings are associated with your account and will be deleted upon account deletion.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

MamaRead is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that OCR recognition or voice synthesis will be error-free. The service depends on third-party AI providers and may be subject to their availability.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of MamaRead.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time through the app or at mamaread.com/account.

10. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
